Prepare, Reach, Invest, Cultivate, and Empower are a few words to describe what God has called Gary Sylvester Price, Jr. to do whenever an opportunity is presented. Gary Price, Jr. (GPriceJr) firmly believes in walking in the same charge that the Apostle Paul gave to Timothy as a young minister in 2 Timothy 4: 1-5 “To Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all longsuffering and doctrine…to make full proof of thy ministry”.
Gary Price, Jr. was born and raised in Detroit, Michigan on June 24th 1984 to the union of Gary S. Price, Sr. and Rhonda Price. Gary is the third oldest of seven children; he grew up in the city of Detroit and later graduated from Northwestern High School in 2002. Upon graduation from high school he went on to attend Tuskegee University in Tuskegee Alabama. Prior to graduating for college, Gary accepted the call to the ministry while under the pastoral leadership of Bishop Timothy O. Johnson of Greater Bibleway Temple, Montgomery Alabama.
Gary Price, Jr. has a special place in his heart for young people and currently serves as the assistant youth pastor at Nehemiah’s Temple of the Apostolic Faith of Warren, MI where Dr. Benjamin A. Jones is the Pastor. Gary also served as President of the Christian Brotherhood Ministry at Tuskegee University, where he received his Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering. In addition, Gary has a Masters of Engineering degree in Energy Systems Engineering from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor. Aside from ministering to the spiritual needs of youth, Gary is passionate about the education of young people.
Gary considers his single greatest accomplishment and first ministry, to be his family. He serves his family as the proud father of Gary III, Jeremiah David and Isaiah Daniel and husband to the lovely Karen Price.
Gary’s charge is to serve people according to the ability that God has given him in any area that requires attention. His commitment to sharing the gospel of his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and building those he come in contact with is driven by this conviction:
“There is NO LIMIT to what a person can do, neither to what that person can become, as long as they keep Christ as the center of their being – ALL things are possible.”
